Interview with Jenny Piette of McBitterson’s!

7 Nov

We interviewed Jenny Piette to learn more about her and her business. She makes handmade items and uses vintage presses for her cards, plus they’re eco-friendly! Her adorable cards are currently featured at Pulp.

Q: How long have you been in the card business?
A: I started doing craft fairs in 2009 as a hobby and made all sorts of silly things, like hand made plaster trophies painted gold with a big “#2” on them.  Needless to say the trophies didn’t sell that well. But the cards were a big hit, and McBitterson’s evolved from there.

Q: How many stores carry your products?
A: Right now we’re in about 60 stores, but adding more all the time!
Q:What’s your favorite occasion to celebrate?
A: I love the baking and decorating and the mad cap preparation that comes with Christmas. And in the end, you can’t deny the magic of a string of twinkling lights.  Halloween comes a close second though.
Q:What are your best holiday gift giving tips/ideas?
A: I keep a list on my phone throughout the year so when I think of a good gift idea for someone I don’t forget. I also like to add a hand made item or two, whether it’s personalized stationery, a funny drawing on a gift tag, or a little box of cookies.

Thanks so much, Jenny!
