Interview with Jenny Piette of McBitterson’s!

We interviewed Jenny Piette to learn more about her and her business. She makes handmade items and uses vintage presses for her cards, plus they’re eco-friendly! Her adorable cards are currently featured at Pulp.

 

Q: How long have you been in the card business?
A: I started doing craft fairs in 2009 as a hobby and made all sorts of silly things, like hand made plaster trophies painted gold with a big “#2” on them.  Needless to say the trophies didn’t sell that well. But the cards were a big hit, and McBitterson’s evolved from there.

Q: How many stores carry your products?
A: Right now we’re in about 60 stores, but adding more all the time!
Q:What’s your favorite occasion to celebrate?
A: I love the baking and decorating and the mad cap preparation that comes with Christmas. And in the end, you can’t deny the magic of a string of twinkling lights.  Halloween comes a close second though.
Q:What are your best holiday gift giving tips/ideas?
A: I keep a list on my phone throughout the year so when I think of a good gift idea for someone I don’t forget. I also like to add a hand made item or two, whether it’s personalized stationery, a funny drawing on a gift tag, or a little box of cookies.
